Like any new beginning, taking the first step can feel scary and at times overwhelming. The good news is, you have summoned the courage and bravery necessary for taking that first step toward change and opening the door toward healing and transformation.
During times of change, stress, or overwhelm we have a tendency to shut down, make poor decisions, and we can feel stuck, disconnected, depressed, anxious, or even hopeless. This can affect the way we work, eat, sleep, live, how we relate to others, and how we parent.
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 20 years, I look forward to helping you work through the challenges that are holding you back from living life to its fullest. Together we can take the journey toward better mental health and wellness.
While family work with children (parenting, early childhood, latency Age, and adolescent psychotherapy) is my primary area of expertise, my practice serves a number of presenting issues including life adjustments, anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, trauma, neurodiversity (autism spectrum, ADHD, sensory-motor), low self-esteem, and body image issues.
I am certified in the following evidenced based models: PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy), MAP (Managing and Adapting Practices), FOCUS (Families Overcoming under Stress), IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy) and several trauma informed models.
